December ISM Manufacturing Report- Mixed Message
While manufacturing is back in expansion mode according to the December 2012 ISM PMI Report, Fabricated metals, of which precision machining is a component, and four of our important markets-Transportation Equipment, Machinery, Electrical Equipment, and Appliances and components remained in decline in December. Markets served by precision machining companies like electronic parts, motor vehicle parts, aerosapce and miscellaneous transportation equipment, and miscellaaneous manufacturing all were up 1% in July. Manufacturing is up 5% from July 2011 to july 2012.
