Parts made my precision machine contract manufacturers in Ontario play a major role in four of Ontario’s five largest international exports- Motor vehicles and parts (34.7%); Mechanical Equipment (9.2%); Electrical Machinery (4.0%); and Plastic Products (3.5%). (Precision machined components are often molded into many plastic parts and assemblies.) Just 60 shops in the sector contribute over a quarter of a billion dollars in GDP.
Four of the top five manufacturing sectors by added employment were key markets served by precision machining. If you are looking for well paying interesting career, consider precision machining.
Manufacturing continues to be a strength of the U.S. Economy. Markets served by precision machining companies like electronic parts, motor vehicle parts, aerosapce and miscellaneous transportation equipment, and miscellaaneous manufacturing all were up 1% in July. Manufacturing is up 5% from July 2011 to july 2012.
Bottom Line: almost a quarter million net new manufacturing jobs have been added so far in 2011 in manufacturing areas directly related to proecision machining.
Manufacturing, not politicians, is leading this recovery in jobs.
