We can give someone information, but that does not mean that that person has converted that information into useable knowledge. We need to make it easier for the employee to understand. Only then can an employee form an accurate cognitive map.

I am convinced we have done a very poor job in training our workforce. We now have a different demographics in the factory worker population, and we are not making the changes needed to accommodate these new employees. If we do not provide the employee with the right type of training material, he or she will have a much longer training curve.
